Information We Access & Why
Specific categories of data processed by ClearKun.
Accessed locally via native Win32 APIs (FindFirstFileExW) to calculate folder sizes, find large files, and detect cache buildup. Never transmitted off your PC.
Your name and email address provided during Google OAuth or email sign-in. Managed securely by Clerk. Passwords never touch our servers.
An irreversibly hashed machine GUID used solely to enforce lifetime license seat limits. It cannot be used to track web browsing or personal identity.
What We Do NOT Collect (Strict Exclusions)
ClearKun maintains strict engineering safeguards preventing collection of sensitive data.
We never open, read, or inspect document text, code, or personal files.
Authentication is delegated to Clerk; we never see or store passwords.
We never access or upload visited URLs, search queries, or web cookies.
Zero third-party advertising tracking scripts or behavioral ad networks.
Zero background input monitoring, session recording, or keylogging.
Photos and videos are never analyzed, indexed for pixels, or uploaded.

We employ industry-standard security measures to safeguard account data. All network communication with Clerk, Supabase, and our website uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. ClearKun does not store user passwords.

Desktop Application & MSIX Security

ClearKun is distributed as a signed Windows desktop executable (EXE) and MSIX package complying with Microsoft Windows application standards. The desktop app does not install kernel drivers, does not run background system services, and does not alter system boot processes.

ClearKun operates globally with infrastructure in India and cloud regions provided by Clerk and Supabase compliant with standard contractual data protection safeguards.
ClearKun is utility software for Windows storage and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
