The ClearKun Privacy Charter

1. Your Files Are Yours: ClearKun never reads, uploads, indexes, or shares the contents of your personal files, documents, or photos.
2. Local Evaluation Engine: Disk space calculations and metadata traversal happen 100% on your local machine using standard Windows APIs.
3. No Third-Party Advertising Trackers: ClearKun does not embed behavioral advertising SDKs or monetize user telemetry.
4. Transparent Data Practices: We only collect minimum necessary account information (Email, Name, License activation state) to provide customer service and licensing.

What Data is Processed Locally?

During disk inspection, ClearKun accesses file attributes in memory:

• File paths (e.g., C:\Users\John\Downloads\setup.exe)
• File byte sizes
• Creation, modification, and access timestamps
• File extension classifications

None of this file metadata is transmitted over the network or saved to remote databases. When the scan concludes, metadata is stored only in a local SQLite/binary cache within %LOCALAPPDATA%\ClearKun.
