Largest Folders
Explore which folders and subdirectories occupy the largest aggregate footprint on your system.
The Folder Aggregation Challenge
In standard Windows File Explorer, directory sizes are not computed automatically. Hovering over a folder shows no size, forcing you to right-click each folder individually and wait for property calculations.
ClearKun computes the exact recursive byte aggregate for every directory tree simultaneously in real time.
Reading the Largest Folders View
The Largest Folders view organizes your drive hierarchically:
- Visual Size Bar: Illustrates the folder's proportion relative to parent directory and total drive size.
- Item Count: Displays the total number of files and subfolders nested beneath the directory.
- Drill-Down Navigation: Click any folder to drill down into its subfolders without re-scanning.
- Context Breadcrumbs: Easily trace your current position back to the root drive.
